Day 3

Hey all - sorry about the long wait for this post!

I'm not sure where to begin. Just finished day 3 of practice, and it's been intense to say the least. We're staying at a place outside of town so every morning at 8:00 we drive in to a nice dance studio for the day. We've been practicing about 7 hours each day and have three numbers finished for the show (out of 11). My legs feel like they could snap in two, but it was better today than yesterday.

The dancing is difficult mostly because it's SO fast... but it's fun, especially dancing next to Ger Hayes, our lead, who is truly an amazing dancer.

I have a lot to tell but not a lot of time at the moment so feel free to ask by leaving comments!

  1. Is it just the 10-12 of you (in the photo), or will others join you at some point? What about costumes? A variety or just one?

  2. There are 13 of us in the troupe, including Ger, and I don't think anyone will be joining us soon. We have several costumes but we haven't seen them yet - each show number has a "color" to it.

  4. Hello, Brian. I wanted to tell you that Megan finally got to dance for her class today. Her teacher was really impressed. She was shocked to here that she had only started around a year and a half ago. Her jig is really improving. She wasn't leaning forward at all. The new reel was a little off. She did not seam sure of herself, and she could not get the timing of the second step. I thought that you would want to know how she did.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
